I'm over 50 (by 10 or so), have been married for over 40 years to the same man, have 3 sons and a daughter, and 2 beautiful granddaughters.

Born in Amsterdam in The Netherlands in 1945, my family came to Canada in 1953 when I was 8, and lived in Nova Scotia for our first 2 years in 'America'.
I've lived in Toronto since 1958.

In the early 1970's, I was introduced to graphic art & design by Alice Cowan, a wonderful Canadian Commercial Artist & Watercolour Artist who now lives and works in Collingwood, Ontario. From her, I learned what I most loved to do, and have been doing it ever since.

Spanning over 40 years, my professional career consists of graphic design, marketing and advertising with various individuals & clients in a wide range of industries and organizations in Toronto, the GTA, across Canada and internationally. My last 10-year position was Marketing Co-ordinator for an international engineering company.

I have great passion ... for people ... not necessarily the technical aspects of photography. Capturing wonderful images by instinct and feelings is the greatest joy of all. I'm passionate especially about the very little ones, the older ones, and the ones who don't think they're beautiful because nobody makes them feel like that way. Their photos always seem to be some of my best.

I'm not attached to any particular photographic style, and believe the feelings and emotions of my subjects are unique and very personal. My photographs represent the individual spirit of the person I'm with at the time.

As a local and international photographer, my photos have appeared in print and Internet advertising, magazines and book covers, national and community newspapers, business cards and postcards, greeting cards and brochures.

I formed B&T Graphic Communications Inc. in 1990 and incorporated the company in 2002. I trademarked Mummy Tummy to Tiny Toes™ to promote the growing demand for my maternity, newborn, baby, child & family portraits - and BODS™ for my storyboards & collages.
|
Also in 1990, I signed an Agreement with Pierre Belvédère Inc. of Montréal for the production and distribution of greeting cards using my photos. Use Agreements are now also in place with U.S. companies.

My portfolio includes business & personal photography for ads and PR in travel and tourism; hair & fashion; artist & actor promo & portfolio head shots & comp cards; interior & landscaping design; city, landscapes & seascapes; real estate, and fine art black & white and vintage sepia prints.

I offer flat rates for custom business cards, postcards and greeting cards to ensure your ability to meet the demand of a high profile image in today's competitive marketplace. Cards have been designed and printed for clients around the world.
